Interns

Ann Pak - Ann is a graduate-level counseling intern currently pursuing a Master's degree in Child and Adolescent psychology: Prevention and Treatment at University of Washington. As part of her clinical training, she is completing an internship at Polaris Family Behavioral Health, where she provides therapy under supervision to individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges.

Ann has a keen interest in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and is currently receiving training in evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She strives to support clients in facing their fears and reducing compulsive behaviors within a structured and compassionate environment. Additionally, Ann has experience working with children in school settings who are managing behavioral challenges and ASD.

Ann is dedicated to creating a fun, safe, enjoyable, and affirming environment where clients can comfortably explore their experiences and work collaboratively towards meaningful change. She particularly enjoys working with adolescents and families from diverse cultural backgrounds and is passionate about supporting individuals in building resilience and regaining a sense of control in their lives. She can also provide therapy services in Korean.

 

Charlotte Park - Charlotte is a graduate counseling intern earning her Master's in Applied Child & Adolescent Psychology at the University of Washington, is completing her clinical internship at Polaris Family Behavioral Health, where she provides supervised therapy to individuals with diverse mental health challenges.

Charlotte has a strong interest in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and is receiving training in evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She works to support clients in facing their fears and reducing compulsive behaviors in a structured and compassionate environment. Additionally, Charlotte has experience working with children with ASD in both home and school settings, utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as a treatment modality.

Charlotte is dedicated to fostering the well-being of her clients as well as a space where they can make sense of their experiences, whether it's related to OCD or other mental health challenges, and work towards growth and healing. She enjoys working with children and adolescents, guiding them to build resilience, regaining a sense of control in their lives, and achieving lasting well-being.

 

Genesis Alatorre, LMHC -- Genesis is a licensed Mental Health Counselor who earned her master's degree in Applied Child & Adolescent Psychology from the University of Washington. She is dedicated to supporting youth who are navigating challenges such as OCD, and anxiety related disorders, with the comorbidity of Body Dysmorphic Disorder, and other Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors Disorders.

Genesis believes deeply in creating a safe, validating, and collaborative space where young people feel understood and empowered. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based treatment such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and she tailors each treatment plan with compassion and care to meet the unique needs of every child and family she works with.

Elizabeth Boudreaux, LMHC -- Elizabeth is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Art Therapist. She earned a dual Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Art Therapy from Antioch University Seattle. Over the last 6 years, she has been working with adults of all ages in a variety of settings. Her approach to therapy is strengths-focused and collaborative while staying grounded in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) techniques.

Cassie Creighton, LMHCA -- Cassie is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate who earned her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. She completed her clinical training at Compass Health's Child Advocacy Program, where she provided therapy to individuals struggling with PTSD and anxiety.

Cassie specializes in the treatment of OCD and is trained in evidence-based therapies, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Her approach is person-centered and strengths based while also prioritizing a trauma-informed lens.

Cassie is dedicated to creating a compassionate and affirming space where clients can work through their OCD symptoms and any other mental health challenges. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults guiding them on their journey to regain control over their lives and achieve lasting well-being.

Debora de Souza, MAEd LMHC -- Deb is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who earned her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Seattle University. In her clinical training she worked with adults dealing with trauma and anxiety related disorders, PTSD, depression, OCD, ADHD, and social anxiety.

Deb strives to create a compassionate, culturally sensitive environment, using a strength-based approach grounded in evidence-based therapies such as: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

Deb is a BIPOC therapist who enjoys working with teens and adults. A native of Brazil, Deb can provide therapy both in English and Portuguese.

Jody Dearborn, LMHC -- Jody is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who earned her master's degree in Psychology, Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University Seattle. Jody has 14 years of experience providing person-centered care for teen and adult clients. Prior to joining our team, Jody previously worked in community mental health settings, Kaiser Permanente, and private practice in the Puget Sound region. Jody helps clients with OCD, body-focused repetitive behaviors, anxiety, insomnia, and stress-related mental health concerns.

Jody's approach to therapy is collaborative and compassion oriented with emphasis on evidence-based treatment practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, (CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT) and Comprehensive Behavioral Treatment (Com-B). Jody is a member of the physical/facial difference community and understands the unique stressors of living with physical/facial difference and its impact on mental health.

Julie Dudley, LMHCA - Julie is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate who earned her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She specializes in working with youth and families navigating OCD, anxiety, trauma, and the challenges of growing up in a changing world. Julie's approach blends evidence-based tools such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP), and strengths-based modalities to help young people and their families reconnect and build resilience. She creates a calm, supportive environment where clients feel seen and empowered, bringing warmth, consistency, and purpose to every interaction.

Michelle Green, LMHCA - Michelle is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate who earned her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University. In her clinical training she worked with early adolescents, teens, and young adults in a variety of settings including schools, outpatient, and telehealth.

She specializes in treating OCD, anxiety, and depression through the use of evidence-based practices including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention). Michelle also holds special interest in working with clients who are dealing with eating disorders and body image related issues, as well as those with addictive behaviors.

Michelle's approach to therapy is person-centered and strengths based. She loves to create a fun, calm, and safe place that the client can learn to build confidence and self-advocate for themselves. She also loves working with and communicating with families to discover how best to support the client in all types of settings.

Kristin Kalning, LMFT - Kristin is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who earned her master's degree in Couple and Family Therapy from Antioch University. She specializes in the treatment of OCD and its intersections with ADHD, anxiety, and trauma. She also enjoys working with body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs) such as hair-pulling and skin-picking.

Kristin is trained in evidence-based therapies, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE). Kristin enjoys working with all ages and all family configurations. Her therapeutic style is warm, direct, and collaborative, and sessions often incorporate play and humor.

Jesica Mendoza, LMHC -- Jesica is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who earned her Master of Applied Child & Adolescent Psychology from the University of Washington. She has experience in schools and community health. Jesica has experience working with infants to adolescents in various settings including when she completed her clinical training in a community health setting where she treated youth with anxiety-related disorders, depression, trauma, and ADHD. She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavior Modification, and Exposure and Response Prevention. She strives to be culturally sensitive and works to create an environment that is warm, playful, and humorous. Jesica enjoys empowering families and youth by focusing on self-advocacy and motivation for change. Jesica is bi-cultural in Mexican and U.S culture and can speak Spanish.

Sharlotte Sheffield, LMHC - Sharlotte is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who earned her master's degree in Applied Child and Adolescent Psychology from the University of Washington. She completed her clinical training at Rogers Behavioral Health treating OCD, various anxiety disorders, and depression in children and adolescents. Sharlotte's approach to therapy is focused on evidence-based treatments such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Sharlotte enjoys working with children, adolescents, and their families to improve their mental health and overall well-being.

Emma Voss, LMHC - Emma is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who received her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University. She has over 5 years of clinical experience in both community mental health and private practice settings working with all ages.

Currently, Emma specializes in working with adolescent and adult clients struggling with anxiety, OCD, trauma, relational concerns, and depression. She is a trauma-informed,affirming provider for LGTBQIA+ individuals and views recognition of how sociocultural systems impact individuals as imperative to an effective counseling process. Emma views the therapy process as a collaboration and aims to ensure her clients feel empowered in sessions. She uses a person-centered model of therapy to best conceptualize her client's subjective needs before tailoring evidence-based interventions including ERP, CBT, and DBT to support their individualized mental health goals.

Megan Wanless, LMFT - Megan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who earned her master's degree in Child, Couple, and Family Therapy at Antioch University. She specializes in working with kids and teens with depression, anxiety, OCD, and related disorders. Megan's approach to therapy is very client-centered, working with the family to help create a healthier environment for everyone. She relies on evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Megan loves to create a comfortable and playful setting to help individuals move towards health.

Rindee G.P. Ashcraft, Ph.D. - Dr. Ashcraft has worked with OCD and anxiety for the last 10 years, and with adolescents and teens for the last 20 years. She is an expert in navigating the intricacies of ERP, and tailors her therapy to each individual. She also has expertise in treating OCD Spectrum disorders such as Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Trichotillomania, and other Body Focused Repetitive Behavior Disorders.  She founded Polaris Family Behavioral Health, PLLC to create a place where people are able to find effective, compassionate treatment for anxiety, OCD, and related disorders.  Dr. Ashcraft obtained her M.A. in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 2004. Dr. Ashcraft earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology in 2009 from the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University in San Diego.

Naya Beall, PhD -- Dr. Beall is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington and the Clinical Director at Polaris. She earned her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Antioch University and holds a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Washington. She completed her clinical training at Seattle Children's Hospital Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for OCD, where she provided therapy to youth and families with severe OCD and comorbid related anxiety disorders. Dr. Beall's approach to therapy is grounded in evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She enjoys working with adolescents, adults, and parents to overcome OCD and anxiety-related disorders. She is also fluent in Portuguese.

Danielle Ung, Ph.D. -- Dr. Danielle Ung is a licensed clinical psychologist and an associate professor and Director of Clinical Training in the department of counseling and health psychology at Bastyr University. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of South Florida in 2016 and completed her Postdoctoral fellowship at Nationwide Children's Hospital Center for Autism in Columbus, OH in 2017. She has 13 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults across several settings including outpatient care, hospitals, and schools. She has experience working with individuals with autism, anxiety, depression, and OCD and their families. Dr. Ung provides collaborative holistic person-centered care that uses evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She aims to help families better understand, communicate, and collaborate with one another so that they all can heal and live better lives.
